Applications are open for the International Geneva Peace Fellowship Programme 2026/27 in Geneva, Switzerland. The fellowship is a partnership between Interpeace and the Geneva Graduate Institute, supported by the Foundation for the Adaptation of International Geneva. It is a nine-month residential programme for emerging and mid-career professionals working in peacebuilding, humanitarian diplomacy, mediation, civilian protection, health and peace, youth participation, and women, peace and security. Objectives
The fellowship aims to train the next generation of peace and humanitarian diplomacy leaders. It combines residential learning, institutional placements, mentorship, applied research, policy engagement, and practical work with Geneva-based organizations. Fellows will work on practical initiatives across peacebuilding and humanitarian diplomacy themes. (Interpeace)
Eligibility criteria
The programme is for recent graduates, junior professionals with 1–4 years of experience, and mid-career professionals with 5–10 years of experience preparing for the next step in peace and humanitarian diplomacy. Candidates must show leadership potential, analytical/practical experience, excellent writing and communication skills in English and/or French, ability to work in multicultural teams, flexibility, and availability for a nine-month residency in Geneva from September 2026 to June 2027.
