Quick intro
Applications are open for the GCUB International Mobility Program, GCUB-Mob 2027, in Brazil. This programme offers Master’s and Doctoral study opportunities at Brazilian Higher Education Institutions associated with GCUB. It is aimed at international students from all five continents who want to pursue postgraduate study in Brazil beginning in 2027. The official call confirms that applications opened on 25 May 2026 and close on 6 July 2026.
Benefits
Selected candidates receive exemption from academic fees for the selected programme, access to university restaurants if available, access to classes, study rooms, libraries, laboratories, and university services under the same conditions as other students. Master’s students receive monthly stipends for up to 24 months, and Doctoral students receive monthly stipends for up to 48 months.

- Access to university facilities
- Access to libraries, labs, classes, and study rooms
- University restaurant access, where available
Objectives
The programme aims to strengthen internationalization in Brazilian higher education, expand access to postgraduate study, promote quality education, reduce inequalities, and build international scientific cooperation and research networks.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Brazil
- Not hold Brazilian nationality
- Declare good physical and mental health for graduate study
- Submit the application in Portuguese, English, Spanish, or French
- Have financial capacity to cover extra expenses before receiving the stipend
- Submit an undergraduate diploma regardless of the level chosen
- For Doctorate applicants, check whether the selected programme requires a Master’s degree
- Apply to up to four Master’s or Doctorate programmes in different Brazilian HEIs, preferably from different regions
Required documents
Applicants must upload documents in PDF format through the online application form. Required documents include:
- Identity document, passport, or national ID
- Curriculum Vitae
- Undergraduate diploma, certificate of completion, or official completion-status document
- Master’s diploma/certificate for Doctorate applicants, if required by the chosen programme
- Text 1: academic expectations, interests, and professional plans after returning to home country, maximum 1,000 words
- Text 2: research proposal, maximum 4,000 words
- For professors: proof of affiliation with a Higher Education Institution
