Applications are now open for the FAO Global Youth Contest 2026: From Learning to Impact. This global contest is organized by the FAO elearning Academy and invites young learners and professionals to share how FAO elearning courses have helped their studies, careers, skills, or community impact. Three winners will receive a fully funded trip to Rome, Italy, to attend the World Food Forum 2026 from 12 to 15 October 2026. (FAO Elearning Academy)

Three winners will receive a fully funded trip to Rome to attend the World Food Forum 2026. FAO states that all travel and participation costs will be covered for the selected winners. Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be aged 18–35
  • Be from any country or region
  • Be a registered learner of the FAO elearning Academy
  • Demonstrate how FAO learning contributed to their knowledge, skills, academic development, or professional development
  • Have completed FAO elearning Academy courses
  • Have obtained certified digital badges
  • Hold a passport valid until at least April 2027 if selected as a winner (FAO Elearning Academy)

Required documents

Applicants need:

  • Online application form
  • Same email address used for the FAO elearning Academy account
  • Complete and accurate list of earned FAO digital badges
  • Short impact story, maximum 4,000 characters
  • Proof through verified course completion and certified digital badges

How to apply

Applicants should create a FAO elearning Academy account, complete relevant courses, earn certified digital badges, prepare an English impact story, and submit the online application form before 31 July 2026, 23:59 CEST.
